I hate being cold.
My house doesn’t have central heat, so my toes just about freeze all winter. When I first saw Satch & Sol’s slippers on Soule Mama’s blog last year, I knew I wanted a pair. But, being frugal and all, I decided to crochet myself a pair in wool. They were cute and worked well enough (though the cold crept in through my stitches), but by winter’s end I’d worn them through several times over.
This year my mama gave me a pair of Satch & Sol slippers for my birthday. I LOVE them. Satch & Sol slippers are made of thick, felted wool that’s so, so, soooo warm. 
They’re sturdy enough to last for years, especially with the soft suede sole. And there are no stitches or seams to let in the cold, since these amazing slippers are actually felted from one piece of wool. Each one is handmade in Mongolia by a fair trade artisan cooperative.
I’ve already had a couple of chances to wear my pair. They are definitely breathable and warm! I’ll be wearing them with socks, to keep them clean and because the wool is itchy. I look forward to the luxury of warm, toasty toes all winter long! If you’ll be keeping the thermostat low this winter to save on your energy bill, invest in a pair of these. So cute! My son is 2 and last year he REFUSED (how dare I?) to wear slippers in the house and he would slip with socks on, so he just had cold feet and I just felt guilty all winter. This year, this year he has already started wearing a pair of firetruck slippers that I bought from a consignment sale that are, unfortunately, too big for him…so they keep slipping off. I would love a new pair of slippers that stay on and are cute so I can hide the firetruck slippers and he can still have warm toes.
Wow, those look pretty close to perfectly wonderful! I hate being cold and having cold toes! I hate it when my kids have cold toes and don’t seem to care. It makes mine even colder!

Those look so cozy! Do they have very flexible soles and plenty of toe room? My son is 10 months old and he has never worn shoes. We want his feet to develop freely and not be hindered by stiff soles and squished toes.
These look absolutely lovely! My 14 month old always has the coldest little feet no matter how many socks I put on her (and she loves to pull them off). Those are darling! I love the lady bug slippers from the website!! We have cold travertine floors, so these would be put to good use in the winter.
