Chic Style for Changing Seasons

Thursday, August 4th, 2011

At this time of year, I’m so, SO done with summer!  Here in South Carolina, we’ve done our best to enjoy the sun, but after weeks of 100 degree weather everyone’s wishing for fall.

When I think of fall, I think of changing leaves, harvest festivals and…. pants!  Comfy long pants and a t-shirt – that’s what I want to be wearing most every day.

These Drawstring Pants by Maternal America are the epitome of comfort, with an easy fit, lightweight hand and chic wide leg finish.  I can see myself lounging on the couch, needlepoint in hand, or off to meet up with some girlfriends.  Hey, pregnant mamas aren’t the only ones who love to wear oh-so-forgiving maternity pants!

Yes, it appears some shopping is in order.  Here’s to cooler weather!

Bella Mama!

Thursday, June 9th, 2011

Have you seen this top?  As you can see, it’s designed to be worn pregnant or not and it’s stunning either way!  We’ve just got our hands on more Bella tops in warm mustard yellow, fresh avocado green and vibrant red.

Why is the Bella top so popular?  The wrap style cradles your belly during pregnancy to define and draw attention to your growing bump.  After baby is born, you’ll love how the wrap camouflages any lingering baby bump as your body recovers its figure.  Feel beautiful, Mama!

New fashions for Spring!

Spring has certainly sprung!

I hope you are enjoying warm breezes and new blossoms in your neighborhood.  This spring, flowers are also turning up in designer collections far and wide.

Just recently, EuphoriaMaternity.com received a shipment of super-soft, lightweight knits from Love My Belly.  They’re amazingly one-sized, and somehow manage to be fitted without a bit clingy.  I need one myself!  (and, no, I’m not pregnant).

Maternity Swimsuit Report

Monday, February 7th, 2011

I’ll be frank.  This year, if you’ll be buying a maternity swimsuit, you’ll want to start your shopping as soon as possible.

In February?  Seriously?

Yes.

When my mother and I went to fashion market for Spring/Summer 2011 one of our favorite designers wasn’t even making swimsuits this year.  We found a few new maternity tankinis to add to our selections, but the pickings were slim indeed.  It seems that due to the economic conditions, many maternity designers are going light on swimwear.  You poor mamas!

I know firsthand how it goes with being pregnant in the summer.  You think, you hope you won’t need a maternity swimsuit, but when push comes to shove you run out in July desperate for something that fits NOW.  Buying a swimsuit is hard anyways… but buying a maternity suit.  Yikes!  The good news is that a flat belly isn’t your goal and a your new curves are for the very best cause.  Enjoy them!

Get Dressed for Winter Holidays {Maternity Edition}

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010

Christmas time is hear!

Hurray, Christmas time is here!  This week is the turning point for us – so much to do, so much on the schedule.  I wish you many precious moments spent preparing surprises, decking the halls and enjoying special family traditions.

Here are some ideas for getting dressed this holiday season… for that special party, last-minute family picture and Christmas Day!

This red and black damask dress by Lilac Clothing is a fun look for the season!  I love that it has sleeves, because I’m a cold-wimp.  Pairing it with leggings or boots and red accessories is a must.  And, since it’s from Lilac, this dress is designed to be worn not pregnant too.  Handy.

Here’s another festive style from Lilac!  This scarlet red wrap is easy to dress up or down.  I could see this working well for a holiday gathering with family.  Again, it suits maternity or not.

Attending something more formal?  Black velvet is always nice this time of year.  This gorgeous maternity party dress by Maternal America features absolutely exquisite bead work   and a flattering empire cut.  Here’s a close up:

It’s just one of the many maternity formals we stock at Euphoria.  It’s so hard to find a nice dress locally – we know!  And, yes, we carry many floor-length formals too.

Thank-you for thinking of our family business at this time of year!  I’ll be posting a series of Christmas specials in the weeks to come from both Euphoria Maternity and Euphoria Baby!

Get Dressed for Fall Holidays {Maternity Edition}

Monday, October 11th, 2010

I tend to be in denial about holiday clothes until the big day arrives.  At that moment, when I find myself putting on any old thing, I admit to myself that it would be nice to have something special to wear.  And later on when looking back at the pictures… let’s just say I have committed to being prepared this year, for myself and for the kids.   And, I’m shopping now, because shopping early on just means I’ll get to wear it more!

The Bella top by Lilac has long been a favorite of mine.  I’ll be wearing this version in scarlet at our Halloween party.  Fortunately for me (since I”m not pregnant) Lilac designs fit the pregnant and NOT pregnant body just as well.  But, if you’re pregnant take note – this maternity top would be lovely for the Christmas season too!

Another cute choice for Halloween is the Circles maternity dress by Lilac.  The rust and mustard colorway totally reminds me of candy corn!

***************************************

I love this look for a casual Thanksgiving.  It has that extra bit of layering warmth that I’m sure to crave about then.  Featured are the Megan Lilac top in rust and the Ashley Cardi in a soft knit polka dot that’s just too cute.  Although I probably won’t indulge in this set, if I was pregnant, I sure would.  I just love that Lilac clothes are for maternity and later… such a good investment!

Here are a few favorite maternity dresses that would be so nice for a Thanksgiving celebration:

1.  Maternal America Front Tie Maternity Dress

2.  Olian Maternity Kimono Dee Dress

3.  Olian Eggplant Ruffle Maternity Dress

For the winter holidays, something with a little more glitz and glamor is in order.   I’ll be back with a Winter Holidays roundup later this year!
