Announcing BabySoy's new line of organic cotton/soy blend baby clothes!  It's all the earth-saving properties of organic cotton combined with the luster and waste-reducing properties of soybean fiber to produce a soft, undyed fabric perfect for prints!

 

BabySoy partnered with Ink + Wit to create this playful baby gown edged with tangerine orange binding at the envelope neckline and fold-over mitten cuffs.  It's a practical, easy-to-use bundler gown that's perfect for sleepy newborns.  The elasticized hem makes changes a breeze!  Adorned with a water-based zebra design by Ink + Wit.

BabySoy fabric is a great choice for the eco-minded mama. When soy products are manufactured, much soy protein is left unused. BabySoy uses these waste fibers to create a gorgeous textile that's been described as "vegetable cashmere." Each purchase of a BabySoy product is essentially recycling!

Babysoy makes certain that contractors are practicing fair trade and obey the local labor laws. Every year, our inspector will visit the contractors' facility 3-4 times without advance notice and make sure everything meets requirements.

More about Soybean Fabric
Soybean fabric is soft, smooth, lustrous, and light. It has cashmere feel, but is smoother than cashmere. It absorbs moisture like cotton, but does not retain it so strongly, making it more comfortable to wear. Soybean fabric is stronger than wool and almost as good as wool in terms of warmth retention. Go ahead and machine wash your soybean clothes, but it's better to air dry them because high heat will damage the protein structure.
