Sometimes baby will desire a flow that is slower or faster than the one typical for his age.  This can be related to mother's personal milk flow, as babies typically prefer a flow that mimics any breastfeeding experience.  If your baby is fussing at bottle feedings but nurses contentedly, experiment with a faster flow nipple.
