Each bottle also comes with a silicone nipple manufactured in France by a worldwide supplier. You can hand wash or put the nipple on the top rack of the dishwasher. It is recommended to hand wash the cap, ring and plug as boiling can cause distortion.
The stage 1 nipple is appropriate for 0-3 months and the stage 2 is for 3-6 months. However, any other standard size nipple (not wide-neck nipples) will fit the Lifefactory bottle. Even the Dr. Brown system will fit on the bottle if it is the standard size and you use the whole venting system on it including their collar.
