Safety
With Beco baby carriers your baby's weight is distributed to your waist and across both shoulders. Your baby is held close to your center of gravity, allowing for natural movement while walking and working. Side release buckles make adjustments safe and easy. Large padded leg openings avoid chafing baby's legs. Plus, there are no metal frames that can bump baby's head or frame joints that can pinch baby's fingers.
An inside panel keeps baby securely inside carrier even when waist belt is open or when passing baby from the front to back carry. This makes the back carry position a breeze for even the newest baby wearers. A removable infant insert is included, which allows small babies to ride more comfortably and safely in the carrier because it positions the newborn in an ergonomically proper position for babies 7-15 pounds.

Improvements over the Original Butterfly Model
Beco is always improving their carrier. The Butterfly II has a slightly longer padded shoulder strap than the Original Butterfly. This will eliminate any underarm chafing that some parents experienced. It also has a removable infant insert; whereas the Original Butterfly had a built-in infant insert. Also, the baby sleeping head rest is improved on the Butterfly II. It is contoured to offer better support for a sleeping child.
