Naturepedic Non-Toxic Waterproof Mattress Pad for Twin, Full & Queen

Naturepedic's mattress pads are made with soft, luxurious certifide organic cotton. It's a safe, "green" alternative to the pvc/vinyl mattress pads sold in most stores.

 

This mattress pad features an Ultra-Thin Waterproof Membrane in the center. Naturepedic's DrySleep technology, effectively blocks liquids from passing through while still allowing the fabric to "breathe." Some water vapor is allowed to escape resulting in less "sweaty backs" and a drier, more comfortable sleep. The waterproof membrane also blocks dust-mites and other allergens. Machine washable. Phthalates-free.

Place it under the sheet to protect your mattress. This is a flat design with corner straps to keep the pad securely in place. Latex free for allergy concerns.

What's wrong with typical mattress pads
Most mattress pads are made with pvd/vinyl as a waterproofing layer. Vinyl/PVC is largely regarded as one of the most toxic plastics in use today. It also poses numerous environmental concerns. Mattress covers made from vinyl/PVC contain many chemical additives such as phthalates, antimony, and various biocides which are released over time.
