This beautiful, organic moses basket is the ideal first bed for any baby. Unlike a bassinet, you can move it from room to room as you go about your day without disturbing baby, and used with the hardwood rocker (sold separately) you can lull baby to sleep while keeping that little one away from drafts, siblings, or pets. Babies prefer a small, cozy bed like a moses basket over a crib, as it's much more like the womb. Great for sleeping away from home as well.
This organic moses basket is made with untreated maize (corn husks) and measures 28"L x 14"W x 9"D. Handles make it easy to move it about. It comes with a bumper lining and moses basket futon mattress, both covered in white organic cotton flannel and fleece. Also included is a white organic cotton flannel receiving blanket (28"L x 14"W x 9"D).
Fill: Although the bumper and futon mattress are covered with certified organic cotton, they come standard filled with hypoallergenic polyester. This is a non-toxic fill that is easy to wash and dries quickly. If you prefer to have your bumper and mattress filled with organic wool, the additional cost is $40. The wool is US Certified O-Wool, which is raised and finished in the United States.
Care: The receiving blanket and sheet are machine wash and dry. The wool puddle pad, bumper and futon must be hand washed cold and allowed to thoroughly air dry.
