PureRest is the division of EcoBaby that makes bedding products for twin-sized and larger beds. PureRest has been making all-natural mattresses for 17 years. They place great importance on creating a chemical-free product from start to finish (even the tape edge binding is organic cotton). This innerspring mattress is a high-quality, organic mattress with no plastic components, no PBDE fire retardents, no silica, and no boric acid. The PureRest Apollo innerspring mattress is constructed of a sturdy 660 coil count innerspring core unit of heat tempered steel for firm, long-wearing support. The coils are a 14.5 gauge and the border wire is 6 gauge. The innerspring interior is then covered with layers and layers of organic cotton processed to the purest standards. The outermost layer is PureRest's organically processed EcoWool quilted in between two layers of organic cotton. Purerest uses an extra amount of wool on top to make this mattress more comfortable than those who tend to use a little less on top to cut costs. The incredibly soft cotton/wool quilted outer provides natural cooling and moisture wicking. Wool is also important because it provides natural flame retardance, water-resistance, bacterial resistance and dust mite control. PureRest's wool is processed at their own facility, which only handles natural, organic fibers so your family can sleep free of any chemical residues. Customize your firmness at no extra charge.
