About Selecta

Selecta designs and produces their high quality wooden toys in the Bavarian region of Germany, where they also obtain the fine hardwoods used to make their toys. Selecta uses only non-toxic, lead-free paints. They also coat their finished wooden products in protective beeswax to make the toy saliva resistant and safer for teething babies.

Renowned for the dedication to safety, Selecta tests their toys in conjunction with the well-known standards lab TUV. TUV Rheinland is an independent facility who tests and verifies toys according to the German Act GPSG. All products are made in order to adhere with both American and European standards of safety (ASTM International and BSI).
