Weego's durable glass bottle is fitted with a 100% silicone sleeve to protect the bottle from breakage and provide an easy-grip, stimulating surface for baby. Silicone is ideal because it is non-toxic and has been well researched. Because silicone can withstand high temperatures, the sleeve can be boiled and dishwashed while on the bottle. There is no need to remove the sleeve to provide thorough cleaning.
Each bottle also comes with a travel cap and a silicone nipple manufactured in France by a worldwide supplier. You can hand wash or put the nipple on the top rack of the dishwasher. It is recommended to hand wash the cap, ring and plug as boiling can cause distortion.
The Weego nipple is appropriate for 3-6 months. However, any other standard size nipple (not wide-neck nipples) will fit the Weego bottle. Even the Dr. Brown system will fit on the bottle if it is the standard size and you use the whole venting system on it including their collar.
